1. Submission Deadline: Requests must be turned in to the Lander Parks and Recreation Office (405 Fremont Street), or mailed to the Lander District Recreation Board (P.O. Box 1673, Lander, 82520), by 12 p.m. (noon), Friday, January 5, 2018. You will need to furnish 10 copies of the completed application. Requests submitted after this time will not be considered – no exceptions.
2. Submission Components: Please limit your request documentation to the application form and a one-page cover letter. If your group has more than one request, submit separate “Grant Request Information” sheets as needed (see Page two of the application form). Please check your application for completeness and correctness before submission, and please do not add any additional glossy sheets or folders in the application.
3. Grant Hearings: Following review of your grant application by the Board, the Board will conduct hearings for all applicants. These hearings are designed to allow your group to present your proposal and to answer any questions the Board might have.
You must have a representative/spokesperson at our grant hearing on either Tuesday, January 23 or Thursday, January 25, 2018. The hearings will commence at 5 p.m. All representatives/groups will be given a pre-assigned specific time period in which to give their presentations. Advanced notification of your time slot will be provided by the Recreation Board. The representative/spokesperson will give a brief overview of the grant application, how it fits with the Board’s mission, and the reasons for applying for funding. Please limit your presentation to 5 MINUTES, after which the Board may ask questions.
